Hay lovely Freshers!! Welcome to the Mighty Marjons and the best years of your life!! Let me introduce myself, I’m Charly your MSU Entertainments Officer for the year. I am studying my 3rd year BA in Live Music so I know all about entertaining and how to have a great night!! This year you can expect me to continue my work with your President Joe Benson and Deputy President Zak Liddell (don’t let Benson’s size or Zak’s hair scare you, they’re both lovely guys!!), bringing you the best nights in your SUB and off campus with our great nights in Oceana and other venues in Plymouth. The SUB is a newly opened room that’s great to hang out in, day or night, so make the most of this place grab your new mates and come hang out!! I want to see some different music played in our SUB, from live bands and artists to Drum and Bass DJ nights. Marjonites love a good fancy dress night so expect more of these throughout the year, but don’t panic you’ll be warned well in advance so you can save your Loan for these special occasions!! You have a member of my MUST team assigned to your halls to help make your freshers year rememberable. These guys and girls will be with you throughout the year making sure your enjoying your social time here at Marjon. They’ll teach you all the songs and games that go with a great Marjon night out!! So look out for the team of yellow t-shits!! and if they’re not doing their job come find me!! Remember guys we are all one big family here at Marjons and never be afraid to come chat to anyone of us during the year!!
